Newly appointed VBSP General Director Exchange Pleasantries with The Country Representative of TAF in Vietnam
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed more than a decade of successful cooperation, during which TAF has supported VBSP in implementing five technical assistance projects focusing on digital transformation, financial inclusion, mobile banking, cybersecurity awareness, and digital financial education for low-income and vulnerable groups.
The newly appointed General Director expressed appreciation for TAF's continued partnership and highlighted the positive impact of these projects in improving access to financial services, strengthening digital capacity, and supporting VBSP's modernization strategy. In particular, the ongoing project on promoting financial inclusion and cooperative economic development in the digital economy has successfully delivered online digital safety training to more than 150,000 customers, exceeding its target ahead of schedule, while also enhancing cybersecurity capacity for VBSP staff.
The Country Representative reaffirmed TAF's commitment to maintaining close cooperation with VBSP and expressed confidence in expanding future collaboration in digital transformation, financial literacy, and inclusive finance. Both sides agreed to continue working together to improve financial access and digital resilience for disadvantaged communities, contributing to Vietnam's sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development.
